Dressage and Show Jumping: 1st to 3rd place qualifies.
Showing and Eventers Challenge: 1st to 4th place qualifies.
Qualification is only valid if:
1. Both horse/pony and rider/handler are eligible to compete at The Sunshine Tour Championships. Restrictions apply about previous experience, competitive success, and affiliated points. It is the COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that both the horse/pony and rider/handler are eligible.
2. The competitor is placed in an ELIGIBLE QUALIFIER CLASS, within the qualification period.
3. Online horse registration AND record of qualifying results are submitted via www.sunshinetour.co.uk within one month of competition, using screenshots/photos or downloads that CLEARLY SHOW the date, venue, class type, placing and competitor details.
The Sunshine Tour checks the eligibility of all horses/ponies using the information given and will issue a HORSE REGISTRATION NUMBER if successful. Registration is required each year.
When results are correctly recorded, The Sunshine Tour will verify the placing and issue a unique QUALIFICATION CODE. Each qualification code can be used ONCE to enter into one championship class (same horse/competitor combination, discipline and level).
PAID FOR ENTRY is necessary to take part in the championship show, entries open in early August (date to be confirmed and will be publicised on the website and social media).
Qualification does NOT guarantee entry in championship classes, entries are taken in the order of receipt and some classes can fill very quickly.
Class Criteria: rules used to judge qualifying classes (e.g. format/rules of class, restrictions on age of rider, height/colour/breed of horse, etc.) might not exactly match the championship class. It is the COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY to read the schedule about the rules and criteria of each class.
